Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress known for her roles in the film Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! Her career began in the 80s before coming into prominence thanks to her character in Tezaab, a film in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the movie Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. As a young girl growing up in Mumbai's middle class she started to dance. In her early years, when she started to perform as an actress, most of the films she produced weren't successful. The actress gained fame and was one of the top film actors. In the aftermath of her wedding ceremony, she took a absence from acting before returning. In recent times, she was one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She also has a reputation as a social activist.
