Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international progress into the Latin pop mainstream. His hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album made it to the 8th spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that was it was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he dropped his second album charting Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia alongside Noriel. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI to perform her streaming single Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash single La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo's brother and mother were both musicians when he was born. In his interviews, he's described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his childhood he was instructed to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian convinced him to take singing lessons with a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of discovering the talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
