Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. At the age 16, she began singing and learning music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began giving her a more intensive training in singing. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she sang with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. After relocating to the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
